real world, real stupid

Wow. So I just caught up on this season of the Real World. The cast is in Las Vegas - red flag number 1. I think they should have renamed the show The Real World - Las Locos. Seriously all of these people are CRAZY with a capital C. Only 6 episodes in and someone's already gotten kicked out, issues of domestic violence have come up and two of these crazies are already in a committed relationship... Oh and someone HAS to have an STI by now. Seriously. It's actually the trashiest thing on television AND I LOVE IT. I have a lot of choice words for the people on this show, so let me just break it down for you.

Lovely 'candid' moment via Dish Network

I'll start off with Naomi because I'm indifferent about her. She's kind of a brat, but she's a good time so we're on good terms. Moving on.

MikeMike. So I basically love him. He's the typical nerdy guy, but he's UHHHDORABLE. He came from terrible parents (drugs, jail, the works) and he made himself into this smartypants cutiepie, which I'm sure he'd feel really masculine after hearing from me, but I'm serious. He's so awkward I just want to be his friend.

Dustin and Heather get grouped together because they're attached at the hip now. I'm okay with it now 6 episodes in, but in the second episode when they first made out - BARF. BARF. BARF. I've decided that Dustin has removable testicles. There are times when he acts like they're elephant size (read: compensating for something...) and then other times he goes all goo-goo-gaga-GAG-ME-WITH-A-SPOON talking about how cute he think Heather is. As for Heather, yes she's cute. I think she's okay, but when the whole fiasco came up where Mike got dared to kiss her and she was the one who totally took control then she let Mike take the whole blame when Dustin got all pissypants ghetto-tastic. That made me super angry - she should have borrowed Dustin's detachables.

Adam. The juvenile delinquent, room trashing, sociopath. He's literally a child - they say that if you get into drugs, when you stop your brain goes back to the age when you started and Adam was case and point of that. He supposedly started when he was like 14 or something and the entire 6 episodes he lasted before getting kicked out/banned form the Hard Rock Hotel for an entire year I would say he definitely acted like a 14 year old. All he did was get disgustingly drunk and break anything that got in his pathetic path. All he says in his little asides is how he doesn't care about anyone else, he'll only say what he knows people want to hear, which included saying sorry even though he literally never meant it. Gross. Him getting kicked out is bittersweet in that yes, he made good TV watching - everyone loves a good trainwreck. Hopefully this new chick who comes on the scene next episode will stir the pot, but only in ways that I'm okay with.

Leeroy/Roylee/Roy/Lee whatever his name is on any given day, standard playahh or whatevahh. He's kind of a pig, but what guy isn't in Vegas. Overall though I'm a big fan because when Adam was going off the deep end he was the only one not giving in to the BS. All the other roommates were so concerned and like "oh poor Adam, how can we help him" blah blah blah. Leeroy was right, you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. He's doing what he wants, but not being a buffoon while doing so. *Cough Adam's a weenie cough* Plus he's got a rockin bod - and that's way okay.

Last, but certainly the most annoying. Nany. Another person Leeroy was right about her in terms of she likes being treated badly. She feeds off of these douchey guys - her on and off whatever for 6 years who she was ready to toss out after one make out session with Adam, also suuuuch a gentleman. I'm just going to rename her Stupid. Adam nearly punched her out and she's fighting Dustin to get back to help Adam (and by help I mean stand outside the door telling him to calm down, BRO. Annoying.) and all she has to say is "I've been hit by a guy before, I can take it, it's fine" umm.... WHAT?! Girlfriend, I know you're wasted out of your tiny little mind but do you hear yourself at ALL? I do feel awful, no woman deserves to be treated like that, obviously. Violence is not okay at all, but to use that as an excuse to say that you want to take a hit or you could take a hit from this L-O-S-E-R deadbeat drunk? YOU ARE A FOOL. Then to go and defend his destructive behavior and yell at Leeroy. I repeat, you are a FOOL. I watched the after show webispodes and she was totally trashing on Adam and finally owning up to how much of an idiot she was being, but as far as I'm concerned though, too little too late. Plus your voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

Are people really allowed to act like this on television? I mean, dumb question seeing as I just watched it all, but I hope you can pick up what I'm putting down. At least there were consequences to Adam's behavior, but I think getting kicked out wasn't enough. That's vandalism and destruction of property which I'm sure the bill is being footed by MTV. Doesn't exactly send out the best message, but what reality show does these days?

Sitch: Out.
